The Cougar Legacy Fund for Godby High School students invites alumni to give back, honoring the culture of excellence that shaped their lives while attending Amos P. Godby High School.
With Cougar Pride and respect, this initiative will support the students, school, and missions of our beloved Alma Mater. Contributions, however modest, can profoundly impact future generations, fostering a community where values and traditions continue to thrive.

Our campus, sitting proudly at 1717 W Tharpe St, has stood boldly since 1966. It serves as a harbor and haven for students past and present. To keep this spirit alive for future generations, we ask our alumni to consider a one-time or monthly pledge of $17.17. Let’s support our roots!

501c(3) Status
We are in the process of establishing 501c(3) status. This can take up to 3-6 months to complete.

Board Committee
The 2024 MEGA Reunion Committee, plus an appointed Godby Administrator, will serve as the Board Committee from June 22nd, 2024 - June 21st 2025.
​
Funding Process
Each semester, beginning January 1st (revised), stakeholders (Faculty & Staff) of Godby High School will have the opportunity to submit a proposal for funding a particular student-focused initiative. The Board will solicit feedback from Alumni, then vote to reward the winning proposal.

Student-Focused Initiative
This refers to every facet that DIRECTLY impacts the students. Funds will be specifically assigned to these initiatives rather than placed in discretionary funds.
​
Examples: Clubs, Groups, Sports, Theatre, Band, Classrooms, Student Projects, Scholarships, Essentials (food, school supplies).

Cougar Philanthropy
Amos P. Godby's Mega Reunion's focus is not solely on reuniting with our classes, but an important goal of the committee is the opportunity for alumni to continue making a lasting impact on our beloved alma mater by giving back. The Philanthropy Committee polled the current faculty and staff at Godby to determine how our gift could be best used. A resounding response indicated that current students would benefit from receiving incentives for academic performance.
Proceeds from our Mega Reunion sales will be gifted to Godby to ensure each Honor Roll student is celebrated in a special way for their academic success. This gift is a representation that alumni are fully invested in the academic potential of our fellow Cougars, both now and in the years to come.
